Kai Smolin | This opportunity expires at Saturday 13 June 2026.
Two men. One room. One hour. In a small library meeting room in a coastal town, two men who grew up together meet to record a conversation about why some people leave and others stay. What begins as an ordinary interview gradually becomes something far more personal.
We are looking for someone who could support very light sound and lighting operation for the production. The technical requirements are deliberately modest: a small studio space, simple lighting states, subtle sound cues, and cue operation across three performances.
Commitment:
Thursday 18 June, 10.00am to 3.00pm (technical run and cue setting)
Friday 19 June, 2.00pm to approximately 9.00pm (get in / performance)
Saturday 20 June, from 5.30pm to approximately 9.00pm (performance)
Sunday 21 June, from 1.00pm to approximately 4.30pm (performance)
This is a very small scale, currently unfunded staged development, but a modest honorarium of £100 would be available. It may suit someone looking for a Summerhall credit, studio theatre experience, and involvement in a new queer Scottish play exploring masculinity, memory, shame and belonging.
Please email [email protected] or [email protected] if interested.
