Saturday 25 October 2025 at 19:00 by Lauryn McGuire

Hello!

Thank you to everyone who bought a ticket to see Little Women and contributed to its sold-out run! The show was great fun, and it was lovely to see so many new and old faces in the building. This week, our Teatime, Immaculate, is on, so make sure to go check that out. We’re also hosting our second general meeting of the semester on Wednesday. Please read below to see what’s on the agenda for that meeting! Finally, as always, we have our Imps show on Friday night.

Have a great week!

Immaculate

Wednesday 29 October - Friday 31 October 2025

“Will God be paying child support?”

Mia is young, free and single. And pregnant. The last person she slept with was her ex-boyfriend, and that was almost a year ago. Her pregnancy is strange to say the least. Explanations include, but are not limited to, said evil ex-boyfriend, a potential one night stand, the actual Devil, or the next child of God; an immaculate conception. All completely logical and just as likely as each other.

Mia must grapple with the concept of motherhood, and being the mother of the next Jesus Christ. On a journey of self-discovery, (and the discovery of the parentage of her child), Mia scrambles to hold on to the life she does not want to lose and grapples with her new status in the religious pecking order…

This farcical and feel good comedy is the perfect way to spend ur hallo-week! Extra points for those who come in costume!

Please be aware that this show is rated at 18+. Content warnings can be found here.

Maintenance and Staffing

Every Sunday 12:00 to 14:00, we do theatre maintenance where we tidy up the building and make improvements. Bedlam runs on volunteer help, so you will be asked to attend one of these sessions if you have worked on a show in the theatre. Similarly, you will be required to help staff a show (or two if you did a mainterm) in exchange for the members who helped staff your show. You can log into your account on the Bedlam website to see if you have maintenance or staffing debt and sign up for a session to fulfill that. There are instructions on the website and people to help you in the building, so don’t worry if you’re new to any of the tasks! You can clear maintenance debt by coming to a Maintenance Session or talking to Maysan Abdidayim or Morgan Hazelip (Theatre Managers) at [email protected]. Likewise, you can contact Uppie Shah or Elise Chan (Front of House Managers) at [email protected] if you have any questions about staffing. You can sign up for your staffing slot here. Thanks for the help!

Welfare

For Bedlam-related welfare issues: [email protected]

Show-specific welfare reps: Check your proposal or ask your producer if you’re not sure who that is!

What we can help with: - Disagreements about show-related issues - Safety and well-being concerns on shows - Scheduling conflicts you’re not sure how to handle - Pretty much anything else related to a Bedlam show or the society itself!

Other welfare resources to keep on hand: For mental health concerns or non-theatre related issues, please reach out to the Edinburgh Student Wellbeing service or make an appointment with Edinburgh’s Student Counseling Service.
