No experience or preparation is necessary. Pieces will be provided on the day. Just come to the side door, ring the doorbell to be let in, and have fun!

The shows auditioning are:

THE SEUSSIFICATION OF ROMEO AND JULIET

‘Verona’s the place from where our play is picked! Two families lived there…and MAN were they ticked!’ Romeo and Juliet is one of Shakespeare’s greatest tragedies, but it’s not as accessible to modern audiences as we’d like. So we have decided to shake it up a bit with Peter Bloedel’s Seussy retelling of the great classic. Silly, colorful, and fun, all while entirely spoken in rhyming tetrameter!

THE SENTINELS

For Alice, Kelly and Christa, 9/11 is not just a past event. It’s a present horror which continually affects their lives. They are the ones who attend the memorial service each year, they are the ones who are haunted by their husbands’ deaths. They remember so the world never forgets. They are the Sentinels.

ALARMS AND EXCURSIONS

Four actors guide you through a series of hilarious retro sketches set in the 1990s where technology goes wrong and misunderstandings are rife.

EDUCATING RITA

Frank is a professor of literature and a failed writer, turned to alcoholism. Rita, his newest student is a working class, outspoken, Liverpudlian hairdresser who wants to know ‘everything.’ She is the last person that Frank would expect to tutor on an open university course. However, Rita isn’t the only one learning as their two worlds clash head-on.
