It’s the most important party conference since the Prime Minister cam to power and the spin-doctors are sweating over the keynote speech. With a rebellious party, a disenchanted public and the opposition baying for blood, the PM must pull off the speech of his life to save his political skin. Eddie, the PM’s press secretary and Paul, speech-writing supremo, are barricaded in a hotel room writing and re-writing the speech. Sent in to spice things up, sitcom writer Simon Shadwick isn’t much use to them and neither is George, a dim-witted lord about to let slip a scandal so explosive it could bring the party to its knees. The emergence of a journalist with a grudge does nothing to help matters. FEELGOOD examines how far the government will go to save itself and come up smelling of roses.
