“E.U.T.C.plunged in enthusiastically, sending (usually)new plays each year, as the Festival moved around Scotland from university to university. The first in Stirling in 1982 saw a brilliant “ Metamorphosis “ directed by Jeremy Benstock. Benstock went on from E.U.T.C. to work with the Merry Mac Fun Company, and with John McKay, also of the Merry Macs, put on a production of “Portrait of the Artist as a Young Dog” in the 1984 S.S.D.F. at Glasgow.”
