Q&A with Anita Yavich

Anita Yavich is an Associate Professor of Theatre Design and Technology at Purchase College. She’s designed for a number of shows across the United States, notably Soft Power, Aida, Cyrano de Bergerac, and The Sound of Music. She has done extensive work with the LA Opera and The Metropolitan Opera, and has most recently designed for the full 2020 Ring Cycle with the Opera Australia. Her Broadway credits include Fool for Love, Chinglish, Venus in Fur, and Anna in the Tropics. She has racked up a wide array of awards in her career, including an Obie, Ovation, Drama Desk, Lucile Lartell, and many more.
