The EUTC is thrilled to be hosting a Q&A with writer and actor Tom Basden.
Tom Basden is an award-winning writer and actor having performed and written extensively for comedy shows on the BBC, Netlfix and Channel 4.
He co-created, co-writes and stars in the award winning comedy series PLEBS and is the creator and executive producer of E4 comedy drama series Gap Year. Most recently, he wrote and starred in one-off special comedy Pandemonium for BBC1. On top of this he has also written for some of Britain’s best comedy shows, including Peep Show, Fresh Meat and the Wrong Mans, as well being one of the founders of sketch group Cowards and he continues to perform with fellow Cowards member Tim Key as double act, Freeze and has featured on Radio 4’s Tim Key’s Late Night Poetry.
For stage, he has written plays for the National Theatre, the Arts Theatre and the Gate and he’s taken plays and solo comedy shows to the Edinburgh, Melbourne and Sydney Festivals, winning a Fringe First and an Edinburgh Comedy Award.
As an actor he has appeared in The Windsors as Jeremy Corbyn, W1A, The Wrong Mans and the feature film David Brent - Life on the Road.
