The 2002 Festival was a huge success. With a keynote address from Sir Peter Hall, the Festival hit the ground running. Workshops included: Timothy West, Tom Morris, Lindsay Posner, Vayu Naidu, Willy Russell, David Hunter, Amani Naphtali and Isobel Hawson. NSDF02 also saw the launch of the NSDF Ensemble which culminated in a new production, The Rage of Achilles, and a production from the Festival, Longwave, being shown at the Birmingham Rep and Bath Arts Centre.
