This year it took place in Edinburgh. The venues it happened in were Adam House Theatre, Bedlam Theatre, the Crown Theatre, and Netherbow Theatre, Traverse Theatre and Wilkie House, which is an amazingly big amount of venues.
It happened from 28 March to 2 April.
18 different main-shows were performed, a lot of which were original writing, with 11 theatre groups attending.
There were also short (half and hour) lunchtime shows, all of which were new writing, complied by Tom McGrath and Maggie Kinloch, performed at the Traverse every day. They’re listed under the ‘Shorts’ below.
Another thing that happened was the Festival Club, which included the SSDF cabaret, based in Wilkie Place, where every night during the festival week, there was a cabaret from 9 pm to 3 am. Each day one or two companies could organise it, meaning all of them got a chance to do cabaret.
