Crossfire is a story of war atrocity. It fearlessly interweves time, place and generations, in respones to the issues of war, conflict and etnic division. Yet it is without sentimentality or heroics. Instead of obvious moral figures, it offers totemic archetypes, colliding in a catastrophic landscape. The extraordinary, war-polluted characters are caught in the crossfire, stumbling through the checkpoint of life and death. A terrifying, timeless human drama, a theatre poem, all at once tender and outraged, violent and impassioned.
