‘The home you thought you had, the place you thought you came from, the person you thought you were…Gone past. Dust on the breeze’
Two refugees, Katia and Sava, arrive on a platform in an unnamed town in Europe after months, maybe years, of searching for a safe place to settle. However, they are soon to find that the town is no sanctuary. The town, once famous for its soup and light bulb factory, is in a state of decline. The station is no longer operating, projecting the town into the indistinguishable blur one sees through the window of the express train as it thunders past towards larger, more significant towns and cities. The refugees and the townspeople, although superficially different, begin to find that they share more in common than they think. The issues of identity, displacement and uncertainty are felt by all.
