Northern Soul: a fashion statement, a movement, a mantra. Working class kids with nothing to hope for, escaping the shittiness of their own existence by filing into dance halls across the North for one night every week, losing their faces on drugs and dance. All for the love of the music.
Eugene, Maxine, Danny, Suzanne. Four kids alive at the height of movement, living and breathing the culture to its eventual demise. This is their story, as well the story as every other soulie out there.
