The EUTC presents Pines, an original play by William Byam Shaw and Katrina Woolley.
One day a forest grew around Elsa’s life. It wound its roots and stuck its branches through the fabric of her existence. The forest came with no questions, no fanfare. It simply was. And then it never wasn’t.
“Pines” is an in-depth study into the devastating effects of social anxiety and the desperate attempts we resort to in escaping our own social situations, where one teenage girl’s mental health is symbolised as an untameable pinewood forest that is invisible to everyone but her.
