There have been a number of occasions when Bedlam shows have delighted by their inventiveness, though these have not usually been major productions, where there is financially more, at stake.

” Suicide Chess “ featured the Edinburgh - based band Wee Free Kings. Everyone coming to this lunchtime production was given a badge in one of two colours. Staff were also wearing these badges,and if the colour of your badge differed from theirs, you received no cooperation from them. Thus hall - keepers refused entry to some members of the audience, lunch servers refused to dole out food to those wearing a different coloured badge, all contributing to the sense of alienation sought by the organiser, Stefan Jansen.
