This award-winning play by Irish playwright Conor McPharson begins as an innocent evening of story-telling and drinking in a small rural pub in Ireland. The local men of the town are entertaining a woman who has just moved in. Nobody can explain why she has left her Dublin life for the quieter life of the countryside. As the night wears on, the men’s ghost stories get out of hand…until the newcomer turns the tables on them and tells the most haunting story of all.
