A View from the Bridge is Arthur Miller’s classic tragedy about the dark side of the American Dream. Set in Brooklyn in the 1950s longshoreman Eddie Carbone, his wife Beatrice and orphaned niece Catherine welcome their Sicilian cousins Marco and Rodolpho illegally to the land of freedom. But when Rodolpho falls for Catherine, they discover that freedom comes at a price. Eddie’s jealous mistrust exposes a deep, unspeakable secret – one that drives him to commit the ultimate betrayal.
