A drowsy night at the local inn is interrupted when a ragged old man arrives and promises to pay for his drinks with a show. Together with his silent assistant, Sylvanas, he performs a series of short acts based upon old German fairy-tales. However, it becomes apparent very quickly that there is something sinister going on.
