… emerging triumphant from a gargantuan three-day bender, having left all corners for drunken dead, Herr Puntila, with his bleary and ever sceptical chauffeur Matti in tow, embarks on an inebriated mission through the land of the midnight sun to bring peace and goodwill to, well, vaguely everyone ever! … but Puntilla is a sick man, plagued by family, friends and finances, and ever in danger of being struck down by terrifying attacks of sobriety which render him fully responsible for his actions!
A colourful mixture of the brutal and bizarre, Puntilla is an ingenious and energetic comedy with a sting in its tale.
