Embedded within the heightened bustling of British teen culture, ‘SULK’ explores the peaks and troughs of youth, deliberating between the stresses of romance, social anxiety, substance abuse, family, and the future. A dark self-aware comedy that blends colloquial and honest naturalism with a grotesque and colourful, Berkoffian-style chorus and elements of farce. Des is the boy that should grow up. Entangled in a farcical misadventure where library books and drug money are misaligned, he finds himself caught in the confusions of teenage relationships, only amplified by a crippling social anxiety and the intensities of a hopeless romance.
